Van Patten Kitchen - Hanover Colonial | Timber and Quartz
Music by Joseph Mcdade
We love it when homeowners come to us with big ideas. This Hanover Colonial was built in 1973 by the well-known Robert Van Patten. The kitchen was a true 1970s time capsule, with its dated original cabinets, laminate countertops, poor lighting, bulky baseboard heating, and minimal cabinet space. With the help of our designer, Becca, these homeowners came up with a completely new kitchen layout. Removing the load-bearing wall separating the family room and kitchen, eliminating the wall into the dining room, and finding a new way to run the plumbing/electrical without soffits created a completely open space. Our kitchen Project Manager, James, brought their ideas to reality with the help of his team of skilled craftsmen.
This transformed space now showcases two custom appliance garages, energy-efficient LED recessed lighting, pendant lighting above the massive new kitchen island with seating for six, floor-to-ceiling pantry cabinets, dual dishwashers, stainless steel workstation sink, full-height quartz backsplash (to match the beautiful countertops), and new hardwood throughout the first floor to replace the old carpeting and linoleum. We also updated the brick fireplace and installed a new custom mantel.
These homeowners also have the added benefit of peace of mind, knowing all the work was permitted and inspected. Our licensed structural engineer performed the necessary load-bearing wall calculations, and we brought all of the electrical and plumbing up to compliance with modern building codes.
When you choose Round Lake Remodeling, we ensure that the investment you are making in your home will stand the test of time. We are thankful these wonderful homeowners trusted us to make their kitchen a space they love coming home to.
